CDE Foundation would like to congratulate our communications partner FrameWorks Institute for winning the 2015 MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions! The Award recognizes exceptional nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated creativity and impact, and invests in their long-term sustainability with sizeable one-time grants.
“The FrameWorks Institute helps to engage the public and improve the discourse around some of the most pressing social issues of our time by using science and research to inform how Americans view and discuss these challenges,” said MacArthur Vice President Elspeth Revere. “MacArthur applauds FrameWorks Institute’s creativity and effectiveness, and we hope this recognition and investment will help sustain its work and expand its impact.”
FrameWorks Institute will use the $1 million Award to experiment with new methods to understand public thinking and to promote better engagement with pubic issues. Also, they will expand its offerings through FrameWorks Academy, a new multimedia online learning platform that offers self-paced, self-directed courses on strategic framing.
