Benito Delgado-Olson is the founder and Executive Director of K to College. A native of the East Bay and graduate of several East Bay public schools, Benito has a lifelong interest in the public benefit (nonprofit) sector and education. Read more »

Gerald Solomon serves as the Executive Director for the Samueli Foundation overseeing Samueli Philanthropy. Prior to this position, Mr. Solomon served as President & CEO of Public Health Foundation Enterprises (PHFE) for seven (7) years where he transformed the organization from an LA-centric provider of funding and services into national prominence. David Plank is the Executive Director of Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE). Before joining PACE, he was Professor at Michigan State University, where he founded and directed the Education Policy Center. He was previously on the faculties at the University of Pittsburgh and at the University of Texas at Dallas. Read more »

Vice Chair

Jennifer Peck was a founding staff member of the Partnership in 2001 and became its Executive Director in 2003. Since that time, she has developed and implemented initiatives to finance and build after school and summer learning programs, increase access to school meals and nutrition education programs, and support the development of community schools in the Bay Area’s lowest income communities. Ken Maxey works as a Public Affairs Manager for Comcast. In this role Ken coordinates with local government representatives throughout the Bay Area to advocate on behalf of progressive telecommunications policies at the state and local level. Read more »

Peggy Agron is Kaiser Permanente’s National Director of Healthy Schools and serves as the Chair of the Advisory Group for Kaiser Permanente Thriving Schools, a comprehensive effort to create a culture of health and wellness for students, staff, and teachers in K-12 schools.

Tom is currently a Senior Accountant in the Finance department for the Sacramento Kings organization. Tom is primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting/finance operations for the Sleep Train Arena, and will be taking on the same role in the transition to the new downtown arena, set to open in time for the 2016-2017 season.

Blair Blackwell is the Manager of Education and Corporate Programs at Chevron Corporation, a position she has held since December 2012. In this role, Blackwell is responsible for leading Chevron’s education focused social investment initiatives in the United States.

Susan Salcido serves as the deputy superintendent for the County Education Office. In this capacity, she oversees all divisions and operations within the organization and provides leadership and support to districts throughout the county.

In April 2017, the Santa Barbara County Board of Education voted unanimously to name Susan Salcido the Santa Barbara County Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, succeeding longtime Superintendent Bill Cirone upon his retirement.

Nancy serves as Executive Director of the the CA Commission on the Status of Women and Girls,  an independent state agency created in statute 52 years ago and charged with identifying and working to eliminate inequities impacting California’s 19.7 million women and girls. The 17 member Commission recently convened the innovative CA Pay Equity Task Force to support meaningful compliance with the CA Fair Pay Act and is a key driver of state efforts to Engage Girls and Women in STEM.
