Project Description
California Alliance for NGSS
The California Alliance for Next Generation Science Standards (CA4NGSS) facilitates collaboration among education, business, government, and community leaders to support effective and timely implementation of NGSS throughout California.
Alliance members are organizations representing pK-12, college and university educators and administrators, science museums and centers, after school programs, professional learning providers, parents, students, businesses, public policymakers, and philanthropy.
CA4NGSS Communications & Implementation Toolkits
The CA4NGSS Communications and Implementation Toolkits provide education stakeholders in California with ready-to-use and source materials to introduce and communicate the value and intention of the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA-NGSS) and guide supporters in promoting the implementation of the CA-NGSS.
Four toolkits are available to support communications with district leaders, educators, parents, and school leaders. Completed materials will be available through links on this page. Prepared for the CA4NGSS by the CDE Foundation, the California Association of Science Educators (CASE), and Children Now, with support from member organizations, the content of these materials represents coalition member input but does not reflect each member organization’s formal endorsement. When using these materials, you are welcome to tailor them to best communicate with your target audience(s).
We welcome feedback and requests for other resources that will support your efforts to raise awareness about the CA-NGSS and to make science and engineering education a top priority in all K-12 public schools and districts in California.
Many thanks to the scores of CA4NGSS partners who continue to share their expertise in service of improved science education for all of California’s K-12 public school students!
The CA4NGSS Communication Tools were originally created in 2016 and were revamped during the summer of 2020.
